Ghost at Neverland?

This is a video from Larry King Live. Lord only knows what kind of video manipulation could have happened between broadcast and this video, but the maker claims that it is untouched. Either way it’s creepy and I suggest watching it without the music, I feel like the music makes it tacky.

See you tomorrow!

Marketing, Planning and The Things You Do to Make A Movie

I’m supposed to be reading scripts right now.

I’m bad at this.

Reading scripts is kinda’ essential to being in the entertainment industry – unless you’re on the financial side, they don’t ever seem to need to read a script – but so many come across the desk that this amount of reading can be daunting.

A lot of this is completely on me for being a slow reader. Even things I like take more time than they do for some other people. Funny thing is I used to be fast! I could do three scripts a day and have time for running, jumping, climbing trees, drinking, smoking, gambling, whatever! Not sure what to attribute it to, but I’m working on getting my speed back up.

In other news I’ve been stretching my marketing muscles as I wait to hear about financing. Wiggy VonSchtick Productions has a Twitter profile now! Come follow it at:

Twitter.com/WiggyVonSchtick

This profile is all business, none of the, “I’m drinking coffee, I’m pooping, I’m looking at may Facebook page” tweets. Probably won’t have a bunch of updates until we get in production, but get on board early before the rush!

Also, even though our initial funding fell through, plans are still being made on Cheerleaders Must Die! Relationships are being made and we are figuring out all the stuff we can that doesn’t involve money. As that stands, there isn’t much left to do except shoot the damn thing.

I’m going to go back to reading, Rene and I have meetings in the morning and I want to be prepared.

See you tomorrow!

Re-Boot

Today was my first real day back at work after falling to the Flying Monkey Flu last Wednesday. It’s nice to be able to hit the re-set button every once in a while, even when it is completely involuntary.

Even though most of my situations have not have changed I felt like I was approaching them from a new direction and it actually helped to brainstorm a few new ideas that led to some nice solutions. Maybe next time it can be a scheduled break involving some spa time or a casino.

Not that the idea of a vacation is new, I mean people have been taking vacations since there was such a thing as work, but to truly disconnect – that was the lesson revealed to me this last weekend. Now-a-days it is very hard to truly get away from it all with laptops, mobile phones and every other social media outlet there is out there. I never noticed the difference before but I get it now. I like being connected it helps me get things done and I’m happy when things get done, but I really felt my stress level drop when I couldn’t answer the phone and slept through most of the day. Not something you can pull off all the time, but I enjoyed my Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Now today I’m feeling much better and, while I’m still just a bit on the sick side, I’m back to work and things are getting done. And that’s good.

See you tomorrow!
