Fun Video Friday – Rene is a Vampire!
Here’s a fun video of Rene being transformed into a Buffy style vampire! It’s from a series we did called “Make-Up with The Wolf” that was released a couple years ago in association with our Kickstarter campaign for “The Pom Pom Massacre” and a show we had sold to Syfy. These videos were made with the amateur in mind, so everything is easily accessible and, with some patience, should be easy to do!
And here she is trying to eat our cat:
And then with a vampire snaggle tooth:
Have a great weekend.
See you next time!

This Is Cool
My friend, Dean, is a pretty neat guy. He’s a graphic designer by trade, but is also a bit of a philosopher, perpetual student of the world and a man willing to experiment on himself. For nearly a decade he has done different year long challenges to test/better himself. Last year he did one creative thing a month. Everything from building furniture to shooting video to shadow puppetry. It’s admirable to see him perform these activities. I highly encourage you follow the links above and check it out.
Yesterday I received a thank you note from Dean for commenting on his blog of the event. It’s silk screened art on some of the paper he made at home. That’s the picture on top.
Have you ever challenged yourself? Maybe not for a whole year, or is that how you treat New Years resolutions? Tell me about it in the comments.
See you next time!

Blatant Plug – Not For Me, For A Friend
![]() |
This is Jeff. Can you tell from the picture that he’s a vegan? |
One of my oldest and closest friends in the whole world is Jeff Garvin. We have known each other longer than most of my students have been alive and have been through enough together that we can be considered family. He was an actor, toured in a rock band and now he’s an author. He’s started a new blog and he is trying some neat things with it to cover the many aspects of his life. He just did these two about creativity that I enjoyed, especially since I’m trying to get more done creatively so check them out: 6 Steps To Creative Fulfillment and Incantation For Writing.
You can subscribe to his blog and check out his Facebook Fan Page.
He has strong opinions and convictions and you might not always agree with him, but he’s a good writer and he stands behind and defends his arguments well. I hope you enjoy it.

Do I Look Italian?
So Rene and I are doing a new murder mystery show called “Speak Easy, Die Hard!” and I play three different characters. Two of them you’ve probably seen before either on my Instagram or Twitter feeds, but There is a brand new one – Tony Baggadonuts, the ’20’s gangster. I look a little something like this:
I assure you that the belly is padding.
As far as the 1920’s gangster stereotype goes, I’m not sure that my complexion quite matches up. What do you think?
If you’d like to see the show tickets are available at the Clever Productions website.

Updates and Show Schedules
Labor Day Weekend was phenomenal and Rene and I kept very busy – so busy, in fact, that we neglected almost all of our social networks! Well, I did at least. Rene was a bit better about it. If you’ve visited her Twitter feed then you pretty much know all that has happened this weekend.
All that aside, there are shows coming up and what good is a blog if not for shameless self-promotion?
I’ll be doing Improv Shmimprov during September, but will be taking a bit of a hiatus for the rest of the year, so these next few shows will be your last chance to see me until 2013, assuming we all survive the coming zombie apocalypse that the Mayans predicted in 1984 with the coming of Nimbutu the 10th shadow planet.
Improv Shmimprov:
- Saturday September 8th
- Friday September 14th
- Saturday September 22nd
- Saturday September 29th
You can see her at the San Diego Old Spaghetti Factory by making reservations here: 619-233-4323
