I wanted to, but didn’t end up in one.
Do you ever get that feeling that you just want to browse books? Ideally that would be what the library is for, but I tend to feel like a good Barnes & Noble can do the job better. Maybe it’s because I can buy the book there as opposed to just borrowing it.
I mentioned this to Rene and she asked me what I’d want to get and I told her, “Nothing, I just want to look at them. If I wanted to buy it I’d just get it on Amazon.” And it struck me that I didn’t even think about it, my brain just associates buying things like books with online purchasing.
I’m sure there’s a lesson here about the price of progress and convenience or maybe about the doom of the big box store in all of its forms, but it’s too late on a Sunday to really think about that. All I know for sure is that I wanted to go to a book store tonight for no good reason and that was a enough reason not to go.
See you next time!
